Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 - PlayStation 5

The big beast of the shoot-'em-up world is back, with more cinematic spectacle and more nerve-shredding action. Activision is promising the Biggest (with a capital B) Black Ops game ever, and developers Treyarch and Raven Software have clearly taken that mandate to heart. The year is 2035 and the world is, as ever, on the brink of chaos. Live conflict and psychological warfare are rife, and you step into this mess with David Mason and an elite JSOC team. You're on a covert mission in the huge Mediterranean city of Avalon, but one thing leads to another and you uncover a dark, labyrinthine plot that could tip the world over the edge and dredge up your team's pasts in the process. There's a strong emphasis on co-op in Black Ops 7's story mode. You can go it alone, but you'll have more fun if you squad up with some teammates for its globe-trotting campaign across the Med, Japan, and the darkest corners of your psyche. The game launches with 16 6v6 multiplayer maps, and a couple of 20v20 maps to boot. You can shoot it out in maps that range from neon-drenched future Tokyo to the frozen wilds of Alaska. There's also the infamous Round-Based Zombies mode. Entombed in the Dark Aether, you must fight to the bitter end in a magnificently terrible, ever-shifting hellscape.
