Cancellation Policy – Apple Tree Purchase and Sales
Effective Date: 9th June 2025
At Apple Tree Purchase and Sales, we understand that circumstances may change, and you may need to cancel your order. This policy explains your rights and the process for cancelling orders.
1. Cancellation Rights
Under UK law (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), you have the right to cancel your online order within 14 days of receiving your goods without giving any reason. This is also known as the “cooling-off period.”
- The 14-day period begins from the day you receive the goods.
- Cancellation is available for most products, except for:
- Perishable items (e.g., food, plants).
- Personalised or customised items (unless faulty).
- Downloadable digital content once access has been granted.
2. How to Cancel
To cancel your order:
- Notify us: Contact us at enquiries@appletreepurchaseandsales.com or call 01892 506955 within the 14-day period.
- Provide order details: Include your order number, item description, and reason for cancellation (optional).
- Return the goods: Items must be returned in their original packaging with all accessories and labels intact.
Note: You may be responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
3. Refunds
- Once we receive and inspect the returned goods, we will process your refund within 14 days.
- Refunds are issued via the same payment method used for the original purchase.
- We may deduct reasonable costs if the goods have been used beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
4. Exceptions
Cancellation rights do not apply to:
- Items made to your specifications or personalised.
- Perishable goods or items with a short shelf-life.
- Sealed items that are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons, once opened.
